BTWSC Co-ordinator Honoured
BTWSC co-ordinator Ms Serwah honoured with a Brent Citizenship Award
Outgoing Brent Mayor Cllr Bertha Joseph, aided by her son and consort, presented Ms Serwah on May 16 2007 with a certificate for her community work, which included serving as a reading partner at a Brent primary school.

The event, which took place at the Brent Town Hall, honoured those who had given to the community. This included a new award honouring 5 school governors, and 19 adults, of which Ms Serwah was one of two Africans. Ms Serwah has a passion for developing the potential of people, especially the youth, which she does in many engaging ways. She's particularly heartened by the fact that she helped a young boy who had been put into the low stream blossom and was eventually moved up.
UPDATE: Ms Serwah ended up having a solo spot with the new Mayor in the photograph used to publicise the 2008 award in the local press and poster campaign. Click to see BTWSC Co-ordinator Honoured In Local Media.
