BTWSC Connected+ Music & Media Industry Course
Target group: Unemployed persons from across London
This free course is for unemployed people looking to learn about, or enter, the music industry. It provides a useful overview by experienced lecturers and industry guest speakers, plus practical event management experience. 

Course content includes: copyright, contracts, marketing, industry structure, sources of income, career development plan, club & event management, media & journalism, plus some music technology

Tavistock Hall, 25 High Street, Harlesden, London NW10 by KFC (Willesden Junction tube/rail station; Jubilee Clock bus stop: 18, 187, 206, 220, 226, 260, 266)

Mondays & Fridays, 3-6pm, starting Feb. 6 2006.

   
Refreshments  provided. Bus pass fare equivalent refunded at end of course

Classes conducted by experienced music business lecturers with support from guest lecturers and facilitators. Students will attend a London club, and put together a showcase event

Target group: 16-19 year olds in Harrow NOT in education, employment or training, or at the risk of exclusion.
Course content includes: copyright, contracts, marketing, industry
structure, sources of income, career plan development, social skills, career plans, plus some music technology.

Wednesdays, 12noon-3pm started late October  2004, second cycle starts January 12 2005

Connected Programme For Brent Youth 13-17

BTWSC a 14 week after-school programme for Brent youths aged 13-17 years old, particularly from Harlesden, Stonebridge, St. Raphael's and Chalkhill. Consists of life skills, songwriting, creative writing, music and video recording, putting together a newsletter and a showcase, plus trips.

Fridays 4-7pm

£Free at Tavistock Hall, 25 High Street, Harlesden, NW10 (next to KFC).
