Venue is a metal-fenced single-story building bordered by John Buck House, a park, and Newfield Primary School. It can be reached either through Fry Road or Chadwick Road, near the Longstone Avenue/Drayton Road intersection.

2 choices by public transport:
1. Jubilee line tube to Dollis Hill station. Turn right out of station, and cross road diagonally to the right to the first bus stop on Hamilon Road. Take bus 226 and look for Wrottesley Road stop which is by Cardinal Hindsley Boys school (there's visual and aural announcement on the bus)

Cross over and walk down Longstone Avenue, turn first left (Drayton Road), and first right (Fry Road)

2. Bakerloo or Overground to Willesden Junction. One exit (Harrow Road) leads to bus 18, the other (Station Road) provides a choice of buses 220, or 266, which takes you a couple of stops to Harlesden Jubilee Clock. Look for the Tesco metro store and walk down Manor Park Road (away from the traffic lights). Turn first right and walk down Crownhill Road to the end, turn left on Sellons Avenue into Drayton Road. Diagonally to the right is Chadwick Road, which leads to the venue.

Project Update: Attendees appreciate the relaxed manner in which all, irrespective of age or position are given an opportunity to participate. It is a family-friendly atmosphere, where youngsters can play in doors or in the compound.

Participants have included Toyin Agbetu of Ligali, veteran Ghanaian diplomat KB Asante, Harrow Councillor Nana Asante, and Brent South MP Dawn Butler.

PLEASE NOTE: There's no Ayekoo session at Mission Dine Club on Saturday March 6 2010. You're welcome to join our Harrow Black History Season event at Stanmore Library 6.30-8.30pm.

The last Harrow NARM Photographic exhibition takes place March 6-12. The open day with NARM curator Kwaku is Saturday Marc6 2010, 6.30-8.30pm. Kwaku will be on hand to talk through the significance of the photohgraphed subjects in relation to African British history. School parties are welcome, or they can arrange other times subject to arrangement with BTWSC (Ms Serwah: info@btwsc.com, 020 8450 5987).

The admission is free, we welcome an inter-generational audience. So you are welcome to invite or bring along anyone, irrespective of age or ethnicity!

Saturday October 3 2009, 3-6pm: What Is African History? An open discussion and a precursor to BTWSCs OCN Level 2 accredited African History Overview course: Saturdays October 10, 17, 24, 3-6pm:  Cost: £30 for whole course and registration on first day of class, or £10 per class plus registration fee of £20.

Nkrumah @ 100 With Dr KB Asante

Saturday September 5 2009, 3-6pm: Nkrumah @ 100 With Dr KB Asante, a former Nkrumah aide, and pan-Africanist and other Nkrumahists and panAfricanists examine President Nkrumah's vision, legacy and the way forward for Ghana and other African countries. (For more about Nkrumah, please open Nkrumah Timeline in the Documents section on the left). Dr Asante's book 'Voice From Afar' will be on sale. Cost £10.

Let's make this the hub for African-interest networking, chilling and socialising in north/north-west London by attending and supporting the centre. Don't forget to bring along your business card!

Every first Saturday of the month, 3-6pm (3-4/4.10pm focuses on a speed discussion topic - see below for some of the previous topics). Detailed information may be in the News section.

*The £5 covers a meal - no discounts available - the sessions are an income-generating initiative by BTWSC for Mission Dine Club (MDC), an under-funded registered charity that has been helping especially the elderly and disenfranchised for over 20 years. Please note that MDC Centre is a bungalow with a metal net fence, and is bordered on one side by John Buck House, a park, and the back of Newfield Primary School. You can call the venue phone number 020 8965 5797on the day, if you're having problems finding the place. There is limited parking on the premises.

GETTING TO VENUE: You can get to venue either via Chadwick Road or Fry Road. However, if you're driving, it's best to come through Chadwick Road, as Fry Road has a very tight bend into the entrance. Click for venue map.
